First technical workshop on the threat of HLB in citrus farming

The Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development, Climate Emergency and Ecological Transition of the Government of Valencia will organize the first technical workshop on the threat of HLB in citrus farming. The webinar entitled ‘The HLB. Techniques and control of plant material‘ will be divided between the 10th and 11th of November 2020 as part of the PRE-HLB project.
The first part will beginng at 16:30H CET with the inaguration and presentation of the webinar by Roger Llanes Ribas, General Director of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries. After that they will follow Ester Marco (IVIA) with ‘Overview of the disease and current situation’, Mari Carmen Vives (IVIA) with ‘Sanitation, quarantine and certification of plant material’, and finally the participation of Cesar Graf (CITOGRAF) with ‘Organisation and control of plant material in nursery gardens’. The session will finish with an open round of questions.
The second part, that will take place the 11th of November will count with the participation of Estrella Hernández (ICIA) with her talk about ‘Potential vectors. Progress in the means of the fight’; Juliano Ayres (FUNDECITRUS) with ‘Control of the disease at farm level and current situation’ and José Cuenca (AVASA) with ‘Organization and control of the vegetable material in nursery gardens’. The session will finish with an open round of questions.
